  43.      U.S. Robotics (NASDAQ: USRX) today announced its first Courier 
  44.      products for the Macintosh market.  Available in March, these products 
  45.      will bring the high-performance features of the Courier V.Everything 
  46.      and the Courier I-Modem to Macintosh users, making it easy for them to 
  47.      enjoy the most compatible modem available in packages designed for 
  48.      their environment.

  50.      Courier products are currently used in many Macintosh applications. 
  51.      Courier's excellent performance, proven record of compatibility, and 
  52.      "bulletproof" reliability are key for people who rely on 
  53.      communications as an integral part of business -- graphic designers 
  54.      and service bureaus, for example, who need to be able to send and 
  55.      receive graphics-intensive data reliably.  Now Macintosh owners can 
  56.      take advantage of Courier products designed specifically for the Mac.

  72.      U.S. Robotics, this product includes V.34, for speeds up to 33.6 Kbps, 
  73.      plus backward compatibility with standards and proprietary  protocols.

  75.      reliability.

  77.      o Courier I-Modem for Macintosh  External device, list price $895

  79.      Designed for both ISDN and analog applications, the Courier I-Modem 
  80.      for Macintosh is an ISDN terminal adapter that includes an integral 
  81.      modem with all the features of the analog V.Everything product.  Its 
  82.      Universal Connect feature automatically identifies the equipment on 
  83.      the remote end of the connection and transparently makes the highest 
  84.      speed ISDN or analog connection possible.  The product must be 
  85.      physically connected to ISDN services.

  87.      The Courier I-Modem for Macintosh is the first product to offer Mac 
  88.      users the flexibility to connect to both ISDN and analog devices.  
  89.      Although ISDN may be used in applications such as telecommuting and 
  90.      Internet access, the vast majority of applications, such as fax, 
  91.      service bureaus, online services and many others, are still analog.  
  92.      By including both analog and ISDN technology, the Courier I-Modem for 
  93.      Macintosh offers the most flexible solution available for Mac owners 
  94.      who want the speed of ISDN but don't want to sacrifice connectivity to 
  95.      the majority of installed equipment.  The Courier I-Modem for 
  96.      Macintosh also includes an analog device port, allowing owners to 
  97.      attach a phone or fax machine for use over the second ISDN 
  98.      "B-channel."

  100.      Both products will be bundled with a Macintosh hardware flow control 
  101.      cable, and with MacComCenter fax and data software for the Mac.  
  102.      Additionally, the I-Modem comes with Mac "easy install" configuration 
  103.      software, to simply and easily configure the product for ISDN 
  104.      circuits.  The products are both Flash ROM-based -- Macintosh owners 
  105.      can easily upgrade the products with a simple software download file 
  106.      that runs on the Mac.
